>>Marvel’s latest offering is among its most ambitious—and most satisfying…

654132654797> Captain America Winter Soldier is perhaps the most intricately crafted of the Marvel movies. The movie doesn’t only serve as a strong follow up to Caps first outing and Josh Wheaton’s juggernaut The Avengers, but it also has the strongest ties and the most profound impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. Perhaps more to the point, this production is one of the strongest OR possibly the very best stand alone movie within the comic book movie genre!

This movie is 1 part spy thriller, 1 part character journey, 1 part kic ASS action movie, 1 part straight up superhero film. the Winter Soldier hits all of the right notes and serves as an example of the very best of what a comic book movie has to offer.

564613213213246546464The movie is set after the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy-the Winter Soldier.

The film’s internal political themes involving the surveillance state and governmental misuse of personal data—are likewise grimmer and more sophisticated (relatively speaking) than the usual Marvel fare, featuring notable echoes of the Bourne saga. The movie’s message is exquisitely calibrated to the political moment and is one that speaks to apprehensions shared on both left and right: In a world as chaotic as this, the temptation to trade freedom for security is ever-present.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an unexpectedly grown-up thriller: taut, suspenseful, moody, on occasion, And with a mix of effective wrist throwing shield action, character moments, humor, and surprising hart to this film, Captain America Winter Soldier is truly a game changer to it’s genre. As a result this film surpasses such words as; Uncanny, Spectacular, Sensational or even Incredible, this movie is simply … Marvelous !
