45tyu89876789_12A Valiant Landmark Plan to Bring Dual, Award-Winning Superhero Franchises Together in Shared Universe Crossover Film Event Featuring BLOODSHOT, HARBINGER, and HARBINGER WARS.

Valiant Entertainment and Sony Pictures today announced a deal to bring two of Valiant’s award-winning comic book superhero franchises—BLOODSHOT and HARBINGER—to the big screen over the course of five feature films that will culminate in the shared universe crossover film, HARBINGER WARS.

BLOODSHOT, arriving in theaters in 2017, will kick off the five-picture plan leading to HARBINGER WARS Online reports indicate that David Leitch and Chad Stahelski , directors of successful action film as of ‘John Wick’, may be behind the camera for the film ‘Bloodshot’.

the Cinematic Universe picture deal will be based on the Valiant Comics product line. Recently, the aforementioned company reached an agreement with Sony Pictures Eric Heisserer (The Thing, Story of Your Life) to write Bloodshot. Created by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton, ‘Bloodshot’ tells the story of an ex-soldier that dies and is brot back to life thanks to new age technological medicine, and allows for those who have fallen in battle to be the perfect soldier, being able to heal their wounds, change shape and even interact with other technologys.

At the moment no actor for the lead role was mentioned.

In addition to BLOODSHOT, HARBINGER, and HARBINGER WARS, Moritz also has several films in development with Sony Pictures, including Passengers, Christian the Lion, 23 Jump Street, Cliffhanger, Rockets Red Glare, and A Prophet.

This all sounds really exciting – but one has to beg the question – if Sony Pictures could not handle the spider verse, are they going to make a valiant try at this, or just kick it to the curb?

Time will tell true believers. Time will tell all.
